The journey started in the Netherlands in 2000 with 1 poffertjes van for mobile catering, a couple years later we expanded with a 2nd van, and a few years after that added waffles and pop up cafes. In 2006 we took over a Dutch Poffertjes business in Australia, whilst still running the overseas business. After 8 years of travelling up and down, we decided to sell the Dutch branch and focus only on Australia, which made it possible to add another Food van, as well as several coffee carts and pop up cafes. We love living and working in Melbourne, love food trucks, mobile catering, event catering and pop up cafes. Our lovely customers make it all worthwile and so much fun!
Time flies, Alysha started in 2014 in the Poffertjes van and later on in the Kitchen. She now easily runs any pop up café. She loves cooking, eating, and is an excellent barista who is very proud of her latte art.
Joined the team in 2008 and adds some fun to any work day no matter how hard or long the day is. Crowd control and money handling in one of our mobile food units at busy events and Shows are her speciality.
Since 2013 we have Chloe for service with a smile! Chloe serves many customers, taking orders, making and serving food in one of our pop up cafes, in the Waffle van or during busy events, festivals, shows and weddings: all with a smile and a friendly chat.
Started during Moomba Festival in our Dutch Pancakes Van. She thought it was very hard work! But she stayed and whilst she has a full time job elsewhere, she loves coming back to work in the Poffertjes van, and showing off her fast cooking skills.
Our team is professional, fast and friendly. We have caterered for major events such as the Avalon Airshow, Australian Moto GP, Tesselaar Tulip Festival, The Holland Festival 2020, St. Kilda festival, Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Royal Melbourne Show, Bastille Festival in Sydney and at many more locations throughout Victoria and NSW.
One of our favourite sporting events is the MotoGP at Phillip island. We have many repeat customers for both our Poffertjes and coffee at this event. We would love to cater at your next sporting event as well.
All kids, young and old, love Dutch pancakes! Let us spoil your little and big kids. With some Dutch Poffertjes for lunch from our Food Truck, the day can’t go wrong! Coffee and Poffertjes combo available.
